What does it mean to pursue an intimate relationship with God?
"We are God's beloved children by adoption and by new birth in the Spirit, and as such we can affectionately call Him Abba Father." (John 1:12—13) In Intimacy with God, Randy Clark examines how Jesus and the Scriptures (focusing on the book of John) demonstrate the vital relationship between intimacy, obedience, and the miraculous as a blueprint for all believers. Dr. Clark explores how these aspects of Jesus' relationship with the Father bring glory to God. Combining sound biblical teaching with keen insight, Dr. Clark invites us to go deeper by asking and studying the following questions.
• How do we achieve true intimacy in our relationship with God? • What does it mean to express faith that results in the miraculous? • What does the Bible say about the balance between obedience and grace?
A clear understanding of the integral relationship between intimacy and obedience provides a framework in today's world for glorifying God, particularly through the miraculous, as Dr. Clark has so profoundly demonstrated during his many years of ministry. Readers will come away with a renewed knowledge of God's deep love for His children and how fervently He desires a life of intimate friendship with them.
