THE NEXT BOOK IN THE BESTSELLING INSIDE... PRISON SERIES
Following on from the bestselling Inside Broadmoor and Inside Wakefield Prison, Jonathan Levi and Emma French will deploy their trademark combination of exclusive access to prisoner testimony and staff revelations, weaving a compelling, unfiltered story examining the lives and crimes of Belmarsh Prison's most deadly and notorious prisoners.
From the Hatton Garden gang to the Securitas robbers, Julian Assange to Jonathan Aitken, they offer unique insights on inmates past and present including Steven Barker, Mark Dixie, Abu Hamza, Michael Adebowale and Wayne Couzens.
Through attacks, drugs, gangs and, sometimes, redemption, Emma and Jonathan will discover the truth about what it's like to live and work in 'Hellmarsh', Britain's toughest and most renowned prison. Jonathan Levi is a successful television executive and BAFTA-nominated documentary film maker. Attracted to the extremes in society, he was the first person to ever gain full access to the patients and staff at Broadmoor for a highly-acclaimed primetime ITV series offering startling insights into the minds of some of Britain's most notorious psychiatric patients. When TV star and recording artist Tulisa was entrapped by the Sun on Sunday she turned to Jonathan to author and tell her story for BBC1 in the ratings hit Tulisa: The Price of Fame. Jonathan has made programmes with Andrew Lloyd Webber about his art collection and his musicals, and has hosted fundraisers with The Old Vic. He was Factual Producer on the ITV four-part drama, Hatton Garden, and co-author of a book on the same subject Hatton Garden: The Inside Story.
Dr Emma French writes about how particular people, places and stories hit the headlines and capture the public imagination. Her books include Selling Shakespeare to Hollywood, and, as Co-Author with Jonathan Levi, Hatton Garden: The Inside Story. She lives in London with Jonathan and their three children. The third in the bestselling Inside prison series, focussing on Belmarsh Prison in East London Continuing on a successful series - INSIDE BROADMOOR was a Sunday Times bestseller, and INSIDE WAKEFIELD only narrowly missed out, still regularly selling 1000 copies per week. INSIDE WAKEFIELD got into Supers and The Works, for the first time, so we'll hope to replicate that success. Successful series style that we'll use for this third book in the series.
