Another dead body is discovered on the Kiahawk reservation. This time, the dead person is a geologist and detective Kirk Wallace is sent to investigate. He discovers that greed is the driving force as several townspeople of Lake Shanoha discover a cache of gold buried a century ago under what is now a Kiahawk burial ground. But the gold brings death to the finders and unleashes a deadly spirit confined by Kiahawks of ancient time. The spirit can assume the form of a wolf or invade a human body.
