K-drama actress Anne Lee is caught up in her feelings for fire captain Frederick Nam, even though she left him 10 years ago to pursue acting in Korea. Frederick and Anne, as well as their friends and family in the Los Angeles area, all have distinct voices in conversation. Lee perfectly conveys Anne's despair at having let Frederick go, as well as Frederick's turmoil at Anne's return. Her tone turns wistful for Anne's thoughtful navigation of her familial commitments, upbeat for Anne's younger relatives, and delightfully deep for Frederick's reflections.
