They call him the Nightmare of the Vors. Now he's afraid to leave his own room.
Captain Russell Philips used to terrify enemy fleets. These days, he runs his ship from a holo-projector, hiding a prosthetic arm from a near-death "accident", and has a gnawing suspicion that someone on his crew wants him dead. Russel and his ship, the Fenix, are broke. The jobs keep going sideways, and his Vor enemies seem to have an uncanny ability to locate Russell's ship.
When a mysterious employer offers a high-paying mission to retrieve an ancient artifact from a dead world, it looks like the mission's payday could finally set things right. Instead of a simple find and grab, Russell walks into a buried test that weighs his soul more than his skill.
Pinned between a vengeful Terran empire, a furious Vor destroyer, and a crew on the edge of mutiny, Russell has to decide who he trusts, what he's willing to sacrifice… and whether the once galaxy's most feared captain is ready to stop hiding behind a hologram.
Gambit will appeal to fans of Firefly, Guardians of the Galaxy, or even The Fifth Element.
