Author and pastor Timothy Jones brings into sharp focus one of the most pressing questions of our lives: Am I loved? He offers readers an authentic, intimate, and spiritually nourishing exploration of how God's nature of love really impacts our lives, unlocking our deep healing, our connection with others, and our passion for life.
Is God "ghosting" us?
Whether in silence, busyness, or middle-of-the-night wonderings, many Christians know a lonely restlessness, a longing for richer communion with God. The search itself can feel exhausting. What does it even mean to love God? To know God's love?
In Fully Beloved, seasoned pastor and beloved spiritual writer Timothy Jones eloquently explores how answering the question, "Am I loved?" is both a lifetime's work and every moment's challenge. Through decades of pastoring and praying, grieving and wrestling, he finally realized that love is the startling invitation of the Trinity and the extravagant answer to the most pressing questions of his own life.
Weaving together personal story, biblical insight, and the writings of spiritual mentors such as St. Augustine, Julian of Norwich, and Emily Dickinson, Jones calls us to experience
•God's personal invitation for us to know true love in a hurting world,
•a richer faith as we see how the Trinity clarifies rather than complicates who God is,
•an understanding of how intimacy and brokenness intertwine,
•greater passion for ancient Christian practices, and
•renewed awareness of how God not only heals our pain but redeems it.
Fully Beloved is a beautifully evocative, pastoral look at our soul's sacred thirst, leading us to a truth so full that it reaches deep into our heart's losses and transforms them--into a stubborn, breathless, abundant joy that knows what it means to be fully beloved.
