Georgia resident Patricia Sprinkle writes about the South with charm and authenticity. In Friday's Daughter, Sprinkle composes a compelling tale about one woman's fight to find independence in middle age. After giving up her own dreams to take care of her dying father, Teensie is shocked to discover that her father has not, as he promised, left her his Georgian estate. Instead, Teensie must share the place with her two sisters, who have strong opinions about what to do with the house-and what Teensie should be doing with her life.
