Sherlock Holmes as a sassy vampire and John Watson as a grumpy werewolf. A fun little spinoff to the dynamic detective duo. Vampire detective Serena Holmes works alone-by choice and necessity. Brilliant, unyielding, and haunted by centuries of secrets, she's the last person who wants a partner. But when the supernatural world's balance is threatened, the council assigns her Rhys Watson, a stubborn, rule-bound werewolf with a knack for getting under her skin. When a string of supernatural murders points to Moriarty, a rogue network of creatures defying the laws of their world, Serena's darkest secrets resurface-along with a dangerous figure from her past. As the lines between their case and her history blur, Rhys becomes her unlikely anchor, even as their growing connection threatens to ignite. As their investigation deepens, the pull between them grows harder to deny-something more than attraction, more than circumstance. It's a bond written by fate, one neither of them can escape, no matter how hard they fight it. The lines between duty and desire blur, and Serena must confront whether trusting Rhys-and what they could become-is worth risking everything. TW/CW Inside! This is a darkish romance book!
