About
Emotional rigidity is a condition in which a person loses flexibility in dealing with their own emotions or the emotions of others, appearing restrained, closed off, or unable to express feelings in a balanced way. This does not always mean the absence of emotions; rather, it may mean that emotions are present but difficult to express or manage in a healthy manner. Emotional rigidity often appears in high-pressure environments when self-control shifts from being a leadership strength into a psychological barrier that limits human understanding, effective communication, and balanced decision-making. For this reason, understanding emotional rigidity is not only related to an individual's psychological state, but also to their ability to lead, interact, and adapt in complex situations.
