The story "Earth" is a real socio-psychological drama in which the author skillfully portrays various characters. The heroes of her works become the personification of either virtue or degradation. The story shows how the poor break people, how some pass the test of purity of conscience, while others do not. And the through-and-through motif of fratricide in the work prompts deep reflection on the meaning of human life and work, on human morality.
