For every car tragic out there - this is the one laugh-out-loud book you'll want to read this year...
Australia's favourite motoring journalist, Stephen Corby is our Jeremy Clarkson - just a bit younger, funnier and less pompous. Drives a Bit Funny is part-memoir, part stories from a car-obsessive. It's a collection of hilarious, self-deprecating, poignant and heartwarming stories that cover Stephen's life in cars: from the battered Land Rover that his grandfather taught him to drive in to the humble Holden Astra he had to buy when his first kid came along; to the car crashes he's been in and why Australia is his least favourite country in the world to drive; the reason why the sight of an old Audi TT makes him cry, and so much more... 'Corby is a treasure. I came for all the wild and brilliant yarns about the cars. I stayed for the beautiful writer behind the wheel.' Trent Dalton 'Corby is the (second) funniest man I know. What magic does he weave? He actually makes me want to read about cars. I gulped this up. Laugh, cried. Wanted more, more. (Also, a hoon-mobile.) He is the Jeremy Clarkson of Australia, but better. Please can he never stop talking about cars.' Nikki Gemmell
