About
From Kindle number one bestselling author, Kerry Wilkinson, Crossing the Line is a darkly gripping novel where Jessica Daniel faces her toughest investigation yet.
Long before Jessica Daniel became a police detective, Manchester was a ghost city after dark. Fear ruled as people were afraid to be out by themselves, the notorious Stretford Slasher terrorizing its inhabitants.
Now, twenty-five years on and the media are feeling nostalgic. But Jessica has a new case to worry about. Apparent strangers are being targeted in broad daylight, the attacker unworried about being caught. If only Jessica and her team could track him down . . .
It's the coldest spring in memory and Jessica has old friends to look out for, plus secrets - so many secrets - that should have long been buried.
Despite two national newspaper reports to the contrary, Kerry Wilkinson is male. Honestly.
His debut, Locked In, the first title in the detective Jessica Daniel series, was written as a challenge to himself but became a UK Number One Kindle bestseller within three months of release.
His three initial Jessica Daniel books made him Amazon UK's top-selling author for the final quarter of 2011. When Think of the Children followed in 2013, he became the first formerly self-published British author to have an ebook No.1 and reach the top 20 of the UK paperback chart.
Following Playing with Fire, Thicker Than Water and Behind Closed Doors, Crossing the Line is the eighth title in the Jessica Daniel series.
Kerry has a degree in journalism, plays cricket badly and complains about the weather a lot. He was born in Somerset but now lives in Lancashire, thus explaining the climate gripes. The point of no return . . .
