Carrie: A year ago, my life changed, and my world was flipped upside down. Everything I thought I knew was a lie, and just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, they did, and I lost hope.
The world moved on, and I was at a standstill. I'd spent eleven months in a rehabilitation center, trapped against my will. My body, mind, and soul changed. The old Carrie was dead, and it was time to move on.
I left my former life behind forever. When I ran, the last thing I expected was to be hunted.
Grayson: Red Snake Investigations was my lifeline, my sense of purpose. After getting out of the military, bounty hunting was all I knew.
My team and I were the best, our reputation spotless, so when an old acquaintance from St. Louis asked me to find someone-Carrie Hale-I was hesitant. She wasn't a normal mark, but I took the job anyway.
I was a hunter, but the last thing I expected was to fall for my prey.
