In a frightening and violent world, it is difficult to love those who are different from us. Too often, we are tempted to withdraw into the safety of our self-made cocoons. Popular Bible teacher Scott Sauls sees Jesus modeling a radically different type of friendship to us. In BeFriend, Scott invites us to see and savor how broad and big the love of God is. He reminds us how God has befriended us so that we can, in turn, befriend those we consider as outsiders. Following God and becoming more Christ-like means that we must broaden our circle of friends, love those we're tempted to dismiss and exclude, and resist the temptation to withdraw from others so we can protect ourselves. Christians must embrace those God embraces. Too often, our circle of friends is much smaller than God's circle. We must become the kind of people who reach out to the kind of people God loves. If we don't learn to do this, our spiritual lives will remain impoverished. Join Scott Sauls in BeFriend as he explores in fresh ways how deep and wide God's love is.
