Rappaccini and his daughter lead a secluded life, distanced from other people and reality. However, one day the young student Giovanni Guasconti sees Beatrice and immediately falls in love with her. Giovanni's mentor Baglioni warns the poor boy but Giovanni's feelings are stronger than anything. So he enters the poisonous garden. What will be the consequences for him and will he and Beatrice be able to be together? Find out in Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Rappaccini's Daughter".
