The Top Gear team return with another high-octane season full of outrageous challenges and crazy stunts. Jeremy, Richard and James attempt to build a better police car for just £1500, there's a race across Japan as the Nissan GT-R is pitted against the fabled bullet train, and the team undertake their stiffest challenge to date by trying to beat their German rivals in a season of grueling automotive tests. The Cool Wall also makes a seriously cool return.

1. Episode 1

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May set out to buy a bargain-priced police cruiser to take part in a dramatic chase without costing a packet. Jeremy tears up the track in the new Ferrari 430 Scuderia, and The Friday Night Project's Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins are the Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car.

2. Episode 2

The season continues at high speed as Jeremy falls in love with the Mercedes CLK Black, Richard uses the Audi RS6 to take on some annoyingly cool French skiers and James sets our in-house bravery expert an enormous challenge involving an MG Maestro. Plus, the new Mitsubishi Evo X and Subaru Impreza STi rally around the test track and Spooks actors Rupert Penry-Jones and Peter Firth go head-to-head in the Reasonably Priced Car.

3. Episode 3

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May explore the idea that you can't be a proper petrolhead unless you have owned an Alfa Romeo by buying three slightly used Alfas, each for less than £1,000. Jeremy also conducts possibly the least appropriate power test ever as he takes the gargantuan Bentley Brooklands onto the track, and Gavin and Stacey actors James Corden and Rob Brydon are the Stars in the Reasonably Priced Car.

4. Episode 4

It's epic race time again as Jeremy Clarkson attempts to drive the Nissan GT-R across Japan faster than Richard Hammond and James May can make the same journey on the country's legendary 'bullet' train. Jeremy also tests the beautiful new Alfa Romeo 8C on the Top Gear track, and Fiona Bruce and Kate Silverton leave their news desks to become the Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car.

6. Episode 6

In the last show of the season Jeremy, Richard and James take on their rivals from the German equivalent of Top Gear. James chauffeurs some exceedingly large sumo wrestlers in an exceedingly strange Japanese car, while Richard attacks the track in a remarkable new supercar from Gumpert. And can a returning Jay Kay finally depose Simon Cowell as the fastest Star in a Reasonably Priced Car?
