Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May take on a raft of engineering challenges as they build a convertible people carrier out of a Renault Espace, make three amphibious cars and attempt to construct a Caterham Seven faster than the Stig can drive from Surrey to Scotland in a ready-made version of the same vehicle. There's also the prospect of a caravan holiday in an Eldis Shamal XL, while the trio also take on a drive-time radio show and a quest of van-based idiocy. Plus the terrifying Koenigsegg CCX visits the track and defeats The Stig.

Jeremy drives the new Swedish super - the Koenigsegg CCX, RIchard drives the new Nissan Micra convertible and James drives the new Honda Civic. They all make the first convertible people carrier and host a celebrity coffee morning on the Top Gear track with the new Top Gear car, the Chevrolet Lacetti.

2. 02-EPISODE 2

Jeremy test-drives the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Richard goes to Iceland to race against a jet-powered kayak. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay sets a track record (for speed - and swearing). Jeremy roadtests the new Jaguar XK Coupé. And Jeremy, Richard and James take over a BBC local radio studio for a couple of hours.

3. 03-EPISODE 3

Jeremy, James and Richard attempt to answer one of the world's great unanswered questions: is it possible to build a truly amphibious car that works as well on water as it is does on land? They have each come up with their own unique design, but will any of them actually work? We drive their creations to a lake in Staffordshire to find out. Also in the show, the Lotus Exige S is power-tested on the track by Jeremy and the Stig.

4. 04-EPISODE 4

In one of our most spectacular challenges yet, Richard Hammond travels to Cyprus where he pits the new Porshe Cayenne Turbo S against the RAF's freefall parachute display team, The Red Devils. Jeremy Clarkson employs a top interior designer to convert a Mercedes S Class into the ultimate luxury car - with suprising results. The BMW Z4M flexes its muscles when the Stig power tests it on the track and the star in the reasonably priced car is Hollywood A-lister Ewan McGregor, the former Star Wars Jedi.

5. 05-EPISODE 5

A car football spectacular. This epic contest sees those old campaigners, the Toyota Aygos, pitted against the very toughest of opponents: a team of VW Foxes, built in Brazil! Jeremy Clarkson spends a day at Towcester Races, testing the suspension on the new Citroen C6, and in a very different test of horsepower, we put the only Prodrive P2 supercar in existence through its paces on the track. James May (aka Captain Slow) receives a crash course in how to drive fast from Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart. And the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car is award-winning actor Sir Michael Gambon.

6. 06-EPISODE 6

James, Richard and Jeremy take a break from blowing up caravans to go on holiday in one instead. Our star in the reasonably priced car is actor Brian Cox (X2, The Bourne Identity/Supremacy, Nuremberg, L.I.E). And Richard sets a deeply unimpressive new world record with an F1 car.
