About

By day, Dr. Rhys Jones is a world-renowned herpetologist, an evolutionary biologist, and a professor at Cardiff University School of Bioscience. But he's also an expert investigator, a consultant, and a handler of dangerous wild animals for agencies including the Police, the Fire Brigade, the Army, HM Customs & Excise, and Interpol. And as seen in Wildlife Patrol, he can be called out at any time and to anywhere to help solve wildlife crimes and conflicts: he attends police raids, seizures, and investigations that may involve dangerous animals; he is regularly called in to track and capture animals that have escaped or strayed too near to human habitations; and he carries out his own scientific analyses in prosecution cases that require everything from identification to DNA profiling. Unique, informative, and fun, this series features never-before-seen footage of wildlife crime investigation in the field and in the laboratory involving a whole host of cute, cuddly, and downright dangerous animals.
