1. Mystery of the Cosmic Ray

Heading an aviation company that develops atom-powered motors, Jim Fairfield (Pierre Watkin) learns from his chief scientists, Vic Hardy (Hugh Prosser), that cosmic radiations are being employed for experiments at a point outside Aherica. This information is told to Jim's nephew Billy Fairfield (Joe Brown Jr.) his niece Betty Fairfield (Rosemary LaPlanche), and to their best friend Jack Armstrong (John Hart). They decide to investigate further before calling in the government. Meanwhile, Gregory Pierce (John Merton), an important customer of Uncle Jim's, is secretly interested in Hardy's discovery. He orders his henchmen to kidnap Hardy, whose knowledge of the rays may be useful at a location Pierce designates as "Point X." Uncle Jim, Jack and Billy trace the gang to a waterfront warehouse. THey are trapped in the warehouse, as a stray bullet sets gasoline drums aflame. The henchmen escape with Hardy. Then the Warehouse blows up. To Be Continued.

2. The Far World

The heroic trio escape when the door to the trapped room is blown open by the force of the explosion. Bt triangulating the cosmic rays, Jack determines the the experiments are taking place thousands of miles away. DEducing that Hardy will be taken there, Jack, Uncle Jim, billy and Betty take off in a jet-propelled airplane. When Hardy lands on Point X, he meets Professor Zorn (Wheeler Oakman) and is addressed by an unseen "ruler" who tells him that they are perfecting a cosmic ray-gun to dominate planter Earth. Whenthreatened with death, Vic Hardy agrees to help them.

Warned of the jet planes arrival, Zora turns on an electronic activator freezing the controls. The plane crashes into a mountain.

3. Island of Deception

Jack Armstrong saves himself and his friends by forcing the plane into a a belly landing. Jason Grood (Charles Middleton), owner of the island's trading post and the brains behind the cosmic rays scheme, sends henchman Blair (Jack Ingram) to bring the Fairfield party to the trading post. Blair kills a native who was bringing food to Jack. The newcomers are held responsible. Ptincess Alura (Claire James), ostensibly the ruler of the island but who is really dominated by Grood, demands they be taken for the judgment to the temple of Xalta, the island deity. They are sentenced to be thrown into the Pit of Everlasting Fire. Billy and Uncle Jim escape; Jack and Betty are thrown into the pit. To Be Continued.

4. Into the Chasm

Jack and Betty are saved from the fiery pit by Umala (Russ Vincent), a native who now realizes that his enemies are the white men working for Grood. The latter orders his henchmen to shoot Jack and his friends on sight. Blair and his fellow henchmen combined with Princess Alura natives maneuver the adventurers toward a dangerous rope-bridge spanning a chasm. Anxious to reach Umala's village and safety, Jack and his friends start across the rickety bridge. Another hostile native band suddenly appears on the other side. One-by-one the ropes holding the bridge are cut. Jack and his friends fall to what seems an inevitable death in the chasm below. To Be Continued.

5. The Spaceship

Jack and his friends land on a rocky ledge and make their way to the ground below. Meanwhile, Grood plans a fantastic demonstration to impress the natives.

An aeroglobe, able to go far beyond the earth's atmosphere, is sent aloft. From their hiding place, Jack, Betty, Uncle Jim, and Billy realize a great scientific experiment is in progress. They make their way into the Fire Pit, the berth of the aeroglobe. The spaceship descends into the pit with the entire Fairfield party about to be crushed by the 170 tons of dead weight. 6. Tunnels of Treachery

As the aeroglobe settles in its berth, Jack and the Fairfields flatten themselves against the walls of the pit and escape death. Princess Alura, believing that Xalta is on the side of Jack and his friends because of their miraculous escapes, urges them to leave the island. Jack insists on rescuing Vic Hardy first. Meanwhile, Pierce arrives with additional scientific equipment for the completion of the Cosmic Bean Annihilator (he's in with Grood). Pierce pretends he came to rescue Jack and the Fairfields, but he soon lures them into a trap. Locked in a mill storeroom, Jack and Uncle Jim are soon overcome by poisonous gas fumes.
