I Married Joan: Classic TV Collection Vol 5 - Season 5

Joan plans a small dinner which grows and grows as more people are invited for one reason or another. Joan runs into trouble when she finds that the turkey she plans to serve does not enlarge with the growing party.

Joan's husband, Judge Stevens, is called on to decide the custody of a chimpanzee which has inherited a great deal of money. The judge brings "Marty," the wealthy chimp, home with him, and Joan proceeds to handle things with her usual aplomb.

Joan writes her In-Laws a letter suggesting they retire and come and live with Brad and Joan. But it gets mailed to her parents instead. El Brendel, as Joan's father, becomes a permanent member of the cast.

A party line is no party for our confusion-attracting comedienne. Next-door neighbor Mrs. Tobin shares Joan's displeasures, as well as her telephone line, and the two women begin battling away for right to Mr. Bell's little invention.
