Tiffany never lived an independent life growing up as a person with special needs. She now lives with her sister Becky because the family home is dangerous and unlivable. Tiffany wants to build a new home and live a better life.

Paul faced the tragic loss of his partner, Skip, a few years ago. In place of dealing with the grief of his loss, Paul turned to collecting items to use in his interior design business. His massive hoard has now stressed his relationship with his family.

Carl and his mom used to have fun looking in trash cans to see what useful things they could find. Now that he lives alone, he has made his house and yard a trash landfill.

Kate collected items from her clients when she worked as a realtor that she would often use to stage homes that she was selling. The recent loss of her husband left her with overwhelming grief and now her home is now in complete chaos.
