To prevent disease through better urban planning, Boulder, Colorado has redesigned the city to make bicycles a safe alternative form of transportation. Two Denver, Colorado suburbs have transformed dead malls into mixed-use and public transit-centered communities. These changes are being implemented all over the country. In Georiga, an abandoned mall gains new life as a charter school while two former grad students from Georgia Tech, mentored by their professor, create visionary projects that are forever changing the face of Atlanta.
