The ‘City of Lagoons’, Venice became the capital of romance, the dream of honeymooners, and destination for millions because of the Saint Mark’s Cathedral, the St. Mark’s Clock, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of the Sighs and the tower of Campanile. The city, living under the wing of the lion, is a capital of Byzantian, Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

The re-united Berlin awaits visitors with such old sights as the Alexanderplatz with the TV Tower and the World Clock, the Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate, the Memorial Church (Church Ruin), the linden trees of the “Unter den Linden”, and the shopping areas of the Kurfurstendamm.

The state of California is located on the West Coast of the United States and is the land of huge palm trees, sandy beaches, girls in bikinis and sunshine; a paradise for surfers and the film industry. San Francisco is famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, the Alcatraz, its trams and the world’s most winding street.

Indonesia is the Earth’s largest archipelago nation, which includes part of the Malaysian Islands and the majority of the Greater and Lesser Sunda Islands forming a bridge between South-East Asia and Australia. The country comprises of thousands of small islands including the four Greater Sunda Islands: Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan (Borneo) and Sulawesi (Celebes) that cover ¾ of the whole area of Indonesia. The country lies on either side of the Equator and is 5000 km long from East to West. The flora, fauna and geography of this tropical-climate country is diverse: smoking volcanoes, dense forests, white sanded beaches, terraced wet rice plantation are abundant.

Madagascar is rightly called as one of the “Pearls of the Indian Ocean”. Thanks to its special natural features, the diversity of habitats and about 2000 years long intact today it is one of the world’s five most valuable habitats. It is a fabulous island, we can admire at plants and animals in their natural environment that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Rainforests, baobab trees, strange-loo-king lemurs, chameleons and other special creatures charm everyone who visits here. The fantastic fauna and flora can be observed from natural environments such as the World Heritage site Masoala National Park, Kirindy Forest or the Lemurs Park. The island has man-made beauty in store: at the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga – also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO – the time stops, so we can still admire it in its contemporary beauty. Madagascar is a really exotic, unique and very impressive place in the world. Thanks to its natural beauty it is not only a paradise to scientists, but also for ecotourists.

A summer tour around Slovakia can be just as eventful and exciting as skiing in winter on the slopes of the snow-covered Tatra Mountains. Walking in the sunshine through the historical cities is a real charm. The architectural sights and atmosphere of the capital, Bratislava;Kamarno;the mining towns, Bardejov, Presov and Kosice offer visitors a pleasant time. During our wanderings in the city centers and the small villages we get the sense of walking around in a jewellery box.

Unusually clean, fresh air, dense, dark green pine forests, sparkling lakes among seemingly endless forests, bright blue sky, wide rivers, green grass in contrast with red-painted houses with white doors and window-frames…That’s Sweden.

Zakynthos is the third largest island of the Ionian Islands, and is an ideal place for those looking for quite relaxation. Its landscape is shaped by prolific plains, mild slopes and hills. The plains are covered with rich vegetation: olive, lime and grape plantations stretch across the land and rocky shores end in crystal clear waters on the western side of the island.
