By land and by water and by air, the two fishing fanatics travel to remote locations not only to catch the fish of their dreams, but to experience the adventure, culture, history and beauty of this spectacular part of the world.

Matt and Babs start their road trip off at Totem Lodge, on the legendary Lake of the Woods. With the help of fishing guide Mark, they're on the hunt for the "lion of the lake," the huge, predatory muskellunge.

Matt and Babs get up close and personal with nature on their own remote island in Seseganaga Lake. If they survive the float plane ride there, it's on to fishing for walleye and pike.

Matt explores the history of Thunder Bay while Babs goes after walleye, all before joining local expert Gord Ellis on the Nipigon River to fish for brook trout.

Matt and Babs hop on another float plane to Esnagi Lake to fish for walleye and pike. Matt sets up a little competition to see who's successful with their hand-tied fly creations.

After a stop at the shore of Lake Superior in Agawa Bay to see the Ojibwe pictographs, Matt and Babs do some urban salmon fishing in Sault Ste. Marie. They take a break from fishing for the cultural and spiritual experience of a First Nations pow wow.

Matt and Babs move on to the French River, where Steve Niedzwiecki takes them out bass fishing and Dave Sproule takes them back in time on an authentic canoe ride into Canada's history.
