Bionicle - Season 1

After awakening Ekimu and helping him recover the mask of Creation, the Toa believe they are ready to face Makuta...but the time has not yet come. Each Toa is aligned with one of the island's six elements, but to master those elements they will have to find the masks of Unity...and tame the elemental creatures that protect the masks. Only by completing this quest will the Toa become strong enough to ultimately face Makuta. But a powerful new villain is operating on Makuta's behalf. Umarak, the Hunter, is a fearsome creature who moves through the shadows that surround us. Now, as his Shadow Traps track the Toa, Umarak follows, knowing that control of the elemental creatures is going to be pivotal in the challenges that lie ahead. The Toa find their creatures...and while some make friends with the creatures immediately, others mistake the creature's protective nature for aggression. But the battles end end with the Toa realizing that in the realization that real unity comes from not from conflict but from cooperation and now not conflict. When the Toa mingle their elemental powers with those of the creatures, the Toa unlock a whole new level in themselves... The Toa come away from the experience with powerful new masks and powerful new allies.

In the last episode, the Toa forged new partnerships with the creatures of the elements. And now when the Toa and their Creatures unify...the Toa experience incredible mastery of their elements. But the coming challenge will demand more than just the power of the elements. Just as Ekimu needed his mask of Creation to realize his destiny, his brother Makuta needs his own mask of control before he can awaken and lay claim to the Mask of Ultimate Power. Now the Toa and their elemental creatures must find Makuta's Mask and return it to Ekimu so he can destroy it in the fires of his forge. Finding the mask means following the elemental creatures to a distant island where they the ancient ones hid Makuta's mask in a gigantic and dangerous labyrinth. At the same time, the Hunter knows he must take control of one of the elemental creatures if he is going to get his hands on the Makuta's mask. So as the Toa travel, he challenges them in a strategic confrontation to figure out which of the Toa hasthe weakest link to his creature. In the end, the Toa fight an epic battle, ultimately allowing Umarak the Hunter to escape with the Mask of Control to ensure the safety of the creature that fell under his control. The Toa have lost this battle...but they are ready to fight on...and that's what matters.
