The Man from Beijing

A mass murder, a female judge and diary entries from ages ago – judge Brigitta Roslin has to make a dangerous journey before she discovers that the key to this crime lies in the distant past. The film adaptation of Henning Mankell’s novel begins with the murder of 19 people, almost all of whom are related to her. Convinced that the police are on the wrong track, she investigates on her own, leading her to China, where she is confronted with the gruesome workings of a millionaire businessman.
