The Heart is a Rebel

For four years, Hal (John Milford) and Joan Foster (Georgia Lee) have been struggling with their son's serious illness. The nurse Gladys (Ethel Waters) exerts a profound influence on the family, and features her inspiring renditions of "His Eye is on the Sparrow" and the spiritual "Motherless Child". Joan attends Billy Graham's New York City crusade at Madison Square Garden and tension arises with her husband. Davey requires life-saving surgery and Hal is struggling.
