Genghis Khan is dead, and after losing a battle with the Oirats, his two legitimate heirs, Jerei and Zhanibek, flee north to Mogolistan. Pursued by the Oirats they must fight again to keep their freedom. But only together do they have a chance of avoiding defeat. Who will be the new Khan and who will lead them into a decisive battle to revive the Kazakh Karnate.
