About
Chief Sitting Bull of the Sioux tribe is forced by General Custer to react with violence resulting in the famous Last Stand at Little Bighorn. Major Robert Parrish, a friend of the Sioux, tries to prevent the bloodshed but is court-martialed for "collaborating" with the enemy. After the battle, Parrish, aware of a new Army attack plan, leads the Sioux to safety in the North but is court-martialed again. This time he is stripped of his rank and sentenced to death. But Chief Sitting Bull intercedes directly with President Grant who shows Parrish some mercy.
