Nearly every aspect of life in California is now affected by what happened in Sylmar on February 9, 1971. The 6.5 quake killed more than 60 people and was a wakeup call for the region. Scientists now regard the quake as the most important seismic event in US history. This film details it from the beginning through the eyes and words of those who lived it more than fifty years ago.
