Richard Harris stars as an American Northwest frontiersman in 1820 who, badly mangled by a grizzly bear and left alone and unarmed by fellow trappers fleeing renegade Indians, struggles to survive seemingly insurmountable odds and vows to exact revenge on those who abandoned him alone, a Man in the Wilderness.
