Green Dolphin Street

Academy Award nominee Lana Turner stars with Academy Award winners Donna Reed and Van Heflin in this romantic drama of two willful sisters in love with the same man--Green Dolphin Street. 1840. On a small island off the coast of Newfoundland, Marianne and Marguerite Patourel (Turner--The Postman Always Rings Twice and Reed--From Here to Eternity) fall in love with New Zealander William Ozanne (Richard Hart--Desire Me), who is attracted to Marguerite. Jealous, Marianne successfully connives to get William away from her sister. But when William becomes successful back in New Zealand with his friend and partner Timothy Haslam (Heflin--Johnny Eager), he writes back to Marguerite to ask her to come to New Zealand to be his wife ... but he mistakenly addresses the letter to Marianne.
