Bright Lights, Big City

Michael J. Fox plays a would- be writer who supports himself as a fact checker for Gotham Magazine. He spends his nights as an active barfly in New York City's club (and cocaine) scene. Abetting his frantic pursuit of lonesome pleasure is the desertion of his wife to pursue a modeling career in Paris, and the death of his mother. But his lifestyle has costs and after a botch-up that deeply embarrassed the magazine, he is fired. Can the young man find redemption?
