Just when it seems Peter Colt's (Paul Bettany) career as a pro tennis player is over, a twist of fate sends him to Wimbledon with a chance to fulfill his lifelong dream of winning the men's singles title. There he meets and falls for rising American tennis star Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst).
