Two hundred years in our future, in the remains of what was once known as the United States, an influential politician begins to undertake the riskiest venture in the history of mankind. He plans to use the technological phenomenon, Time Snare, to seize six fighters from the distant past and use them as pawns in his quest to produce the greatest spectacle of his time. If successful, he will become one of the most powerful men in the world.
The six combatants, Samurai, Ninja, Viking, Gladiator, Soldier, and Prisoner are ripped unwittingly from their reality and given an ultimatum by their captor - they can choose to fight in the "People's Contest", a gladiatorial battle to the death, or face immediate execution - one a chance at life, the other.
