My book was written during the time when my beloved homeland became a small part of Greater Hungary. Through the life of a little girl named Franciska, born in the hell of war, it depicts life during and after the war, when deportations were ongoing, and when it was necessary to fight for our Hungarian identity, facing death day by day. It shows a time when hatred and envy made their way, targeting educated people for humiliation and degradation. Being Hungarian and of noble descent was considered a crime. They were forced to live their entire lives in poverty and humiliation, with even children being punished by being barred from attending higher education. While the struggle for power, oppression, envy, and humiliation reigned, peace, understanding, and love thrived in Franciska's family.
