Victoria got shipped off by her mother to Kansas. It was for her own good, but life wasn't turning out how she thought it would. She did agree to go, but she'd had no choice but to agree. When her mother's mind was made up, there was no changing it.So here was Victoria, a socialite from New York in a Kansas cow town that had no class. No servants meant she had to learn to do things on her own. She had to even do work. She decided that she'd better fall back on her good nature and learn how to survive in Derby, Kansas.Tate was happy to have her there, even though he was worried she wouldn't make it. He certainly wanted her to be happy, but life in Derby was probably difficult for a socialite from a big city. He also hoped details from his past ventures into the world of courting would stay in the past. Was hope enough or was action required to wipe that slate clean? Annie has been writing romance since high school and she loves to write Western Christian Romance stories today. Weaving a Christian element into her stories helps her be constantly reminded of her own faith.Annie enjoys naming her characters and she does this at the start of her writing process. Many of the characters in her stories are named after people who have been or are currently important in her life. Most of the time, the character isn't based on their personalities, but she used their names as a tiny tribute.When you read an Annie Boone story, you won't be pounded with scriptures, but the characters – at least most of them! – are God fearing people. They trust in God to help them through life's twists and turns as many of us do today.Annie lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two cats.
