We live in a rare moment in history. There are sufferings and stresses that are unique to our culture today. Several major things are happening all at once. Our western culture is in the throws of a wild convulsion over philosophy. Our people are both delighted and crushed by the weight of so much technological discovery. Children are being raised in a strange environment of fear and worry...as our people drug themselves with petty distractions and powerful drugs. There are voices of hope and encouragement but all too often mixed with anger and revolution!This little book will give insights into that condition. It is meant to bring some light upon this darkening crisis. Boyd has experienced many unusual things. He grew up in a very large and turbulent family. His mom went blind when he was a child. His father was a battered war veteran who worked as a drill instructor in the Marines--running his family like a boot camp.at times. Having learned to cook for his family, Boyd grew up to manage restaurants. But, then went down a path of drug abuse and addiction. Finally, after turning to God for help, he overcame drug addiction and joined a Catholic monastery for 5 years. Later he left the Benedictines and got a job in a shipyard.
