Joseph Hill and his group Culture were among the true vocal stars of Jamaican reggae. In the UK their 'Two Sevens Clash' album was a fully justified hit but subsequent releases were largely ignored by the wider popular music buying public. This book by Professor Eric Doumerc of Toulouse University attempts to bring Hill and Culture some of the acclaim they never received outside the Caribbean.
