About
The play Uma dolls house was released in 1897 and is considered a work in which feminism emerges at the end of history. The narrative unfolds around Nora — the wife of a bank director who sees her as frivolous and innocent — who does everything to save her husband from a disease; to that end she lies and borrows her character from a man and without her husband or father knowing. However, when her husband, Helmer, finds out, she repudiates her. She, then, seeing her inferior position in society, mainly because of the humiliation she suffers from her husband, for having done everything to save him, rebels and decides to leave her husband and children.
