A Gift from God



God gave me a gift that
I wasn't sure I deserved.
He was ever so kind and
Perhaps a bit reserved.

He stole my heart away
It caught me by surprise.
I found it hard to believe
But he said he liked my eyes.

God decided it was time
For me to be content.
It took a while to see but
I knew just what it meant.

I had finally done my time
But never saw my worth.
The years were quite unkind
But He led me to rebirth.
