He is believed to have lived in Nottinghamshire about 700 years ago. He lost his home and ran away into the Sherwood Forest. There, he gathered together a band of merry men. They robbed the rich to help the poor. Robin Hood appears in songs, plays, games, novels, musicals, films, and TV series.This book is rewritten from "Stories of Robin Hood Told to the Children" by H. E. Marshall (1867– 1941), English author of children's historical stories. Qiliang Feng has been teaching English in senior high schools since 1983. A passionate advocate for integrating reading into TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), he specializes in adapting and simplifying graded ESL (English as a Second Language) and EFL (English as a Foreign Language) readers. He has authored several series of English reading course books and is actively promoting the Million-Word Reading Project (MWRP).
