About

All seems well at Elmer's workplace, All's Wells, when suddenly customers complain of seeing ants, prompting his boss to call an exterminator. Except whenever Elmer goes to look...he finds all the ants have vanished without a trace. Meanwhile, Ricky and Wilbur have become victims of an ant infestation, and believe that, somehow, Finley and Liam are at fault. Something strange is going on with these little pests, and it's up to the Paranormal Deertective crew to solve it. Paranormal Deertective is a paranormal middle grade fiction featuring anthropomorphic animals, written and illustrated by Kira Alston. Along with being a ghost hunting story, it is a comedy, a tragedy, and above all, is about family, friendship and compassion. Each chapter also contains pictures, providing lovely and fun visuals to go along with the story. Recommended for ages 12+ Kira Alston (May 3rd, 2002) was born and raised in Canada. Paranormal Deertective is a paranormal middle grade fiction featuring anthropormorphic animals. It is about two paranormal investigators (Elmer, the titular Paranormal Deertective, and his friend, Finnick Winter) who explore different, allegedly haunted places. The catch is, however, Elmer has never actually seen a ghost - and it's because, unbeknownst to him, his best pal's a demon in disguise, and the Personification of Nightmares to boot. Basically, he's the top dog and he tends to scare the ghosts off. All the while, Finnick's son, Finley, and his pal, Liam, sneak about the place unbeknownst to the adults, often helping the ghosts out in the process. While focusing a lot on the supernatural, it is more importantly about FAMILY, FRIENDSHIP AND COMPASSION. Recommended for ages 12+
