About
Nowadays, AI seems to be producing more questions than answers. However, we need to examine whether the foundation of AI is correct. There are many questions and scenarios to consider, but the question that our book raises is whether our exploration of AI will lead to a better understanding of the human mind or whether we will find ethical solutions based on a solid foundation of AI. There are still many chapters about the human mind that need to be clarified. One of the most important of these is the topic of intuition, which we will explore in this first book."One of the hardest questions that science faces today is whether an AI can have a certain degree of awareness and self-consciousness, or if an AI can become aware in the future.
This perspective is often met with fear and hesitation, leading to ideas in the minds of the public that AI will take over humans in the future. What we don't understand, we tend to fear or disapprove of, and wrong ideas are easier to implement.
Foremost, we still don't have a clear theoretical understanding of how we can define human awareness, let alone how it can be applied to an AI. Interestingly, an AI may say that it doesn't possess awareness, and as an artificial language model, it is able to identify itself with something that actually exists. Now, the paradox arises because we're unable to unify our theoretical understanding of awareness and how it really works, in order to better determine the degree to which an AI can operate autonomously without any external input.
