Some heroes are more reluctant than others.Long ago, The Notebook Of Whim, a powerful, magical object that grants any wish written on its pages, came to the beautiful witch, Belladona. Not wanting the responsibility of safeguarding such an object, she hid it deep within Mirror City and protected it with enchantments until the day it could be safely retrieved.And now, that the day has arrived.But only Belladona's oldest child, Inspirational Wink, can retrieve the notebook, and she has never left her hometown of Whisper in all her sixty years. She wants to stay and work her home farm and sees no point in going to Mirror City to retrieve anything.But, as with all the great stories, she sets off with her on her journey with faithful companions- an opinionated orc, an egotistical elf, a snarky shapeshifter and a penitent paladin.Riding a pink horse.With a mousePursuing her are gryphons, Bug Bears, and unnatural storms, and that's all before she even reaches Mirror City.Once she does arrive, she finds the powerful wizard who was to aide her has been cursed, and the witch stepping up as guide is not happy about it. Nonetheless, she must find the Notebook Of Whim and thereby save the world from those who would use it for evil.And, apparently, there are lots of those.Also Cave Cats, hobbs, and, of course, a dragon, because what's a great story without a dragon?Or an evil prince?
