How to Free a Leviathan

Giada Bellantuono and her familiar, Sinistro the black cat, have spent the last month traveling around the world, training with magical vets and warning them about C&C Medicinals, the dangerous company that's been trying to kidnap magical creatures. Giada has been invited to attend a global conference in Argentina. But something's not right at the sanctuary that's hosting the conference, and Giada is immediately suspicious of the head vet, Dolores.

When Giada and Sinistro go snooping, they find concrete evidence that Dolores is not only the head of C&C Medicinals, she's also a Strega del Malocchio, and a Madre to boot. Dolores is planning to harness the power of a rare leviathan at the conference to cast a spell that'll sever the connection between all magical vets and their familiars. And she plans to start with Giada and Sinistro, so she kidnaps him. Overwhelmed by grief and rage, Giada will go to any lengths necessary to save Sinistro from Dolores's clutches. But she'll have to be careful, or her efforts to save Sinistro could cause her to lose him forever.
