About

They're bad news wherever they go. It was the first of August, 1943, and the Twenty-third Infantry Regiment moved west through the jungle of New Georgia. Slogging their way through steaming jungles choked with blood, heading for the main military objective on the island, the Japanese airfield on Munda Point. Digging out from the stone-cold tunnels of an underground tomb. To them, death is just a sick joke - a joke played on anyone dumb enough to stand in their way. Nothing is more important to The Rat Bastards as winning. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Len Levinson served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957, and graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Social Science. He relocated to NYC that year and worked as an advertising copywriter and public relations executive before becoming a full-time novelist. Len created and wrote a number of series, including The Apache Wars Saga, The Pecos Kid and The Rat Bastards. He has had over eighty titles published, and PP is delighted to have the opportunity to issue his exceptional WWII series, The Sergeant in digital form. After many years in NYC, Len moved to a small town (pop. 3100) in rural Illinois, where he is now surrounded by corn and soybean fields ... a peaceful, ideal location for a writer. Hard-core war action series set during World War II in the South Pacific. Filled with brilliantly written battle scenes. The American platoon is made up of characters that you come to know very well throughout the series as .... The Rat Bastards!
