It is a classified bibliographical work of Indian library and information science literature published during 1990-1991. It is an attempt at bibliographical control of LIS publication in English language only, and excludes those in Indian languages. The bibliographical guide includes more than 1,400 citations all of which are provided with informative abstracts. It includes citations from professional as well as other journals, edited books, festschrift volumes, books, seminar and conference papers and proceedings. It also covers contributions by Indian authors published in foreign books and journals. The citations are prepared according to well recognised national and international practices being followed for bibliographical compilations. The abbreviations used for journals are also standardised. The citations are classified according to the 20th Edition of Dewey Classification with extended schedules at various places. For the easy retrieval of citations Subject and Author indexes are provided at the end. It is thus not only a useful guide for students and teachers but also an indispensable source of information for those who want to conduct literature survey in any branch of library and information science.
