For many Christians, the Holy Spirit is a mystery, an unknown divine participant that acts in the company of God the Father, and Jesus the son, in the salvific redemption of humankind.
In this short essay, the author tries to unveil this mystery and highlights the vital importance that the embracing of the gift of the Holy Spirit that Jesus left for us on this earth, has for every Christian in order to walk in this world in the company of the Father and the Son, and to accomplish the mission that God gave us to fulfill in this life.
Simply put, the author affirms that our resurrection from the death of sin is wrought in us by the Holy Spirit, and offers some useful advises to perceive it, receive it, and be filled by it.
However, the author quoting Jennings (2013), warns us that we can't do this by tolerating sin, justifying sin, blame shifting sin, or managing sin. We must put sin to death. He remind us the words of the apostle Paul of Tarsus in Romans 8:9: "If the Holy Spirit does not inhabit inside of us, we don't belong to God".
