Fourth Council of Carthage

The fourth synod of the church at Carthage was conducting dealing with some minor liturgical matters that were persistent in the Punic church. The primary issue cited was the clear teaching regarding the nature of the Christian Trinity. Additionally, there was some concern regarding the role of the bishop and the act of excommunication, particularly those who involved themselves in Arianism and Donatism.
